Almost a year ago, we were working on a project that required a motor shield, but none of them did quite what we needed.
We wanted versatility, the ability to plug in R/C electronics, onboard current sensing, a way to turn off the motors during programming so our robots wouldn't jump off the table (yes, this happened) and we didn't want to have to worry about soldering.
We wanted more flexibility, more features, and well, just more! So we decided to make our own.
